I’m Julia éther, a ceramic artist living and working in Portugal.
Clay is my way of listening. My work is guided by presence, the quiet poetry of form, and the way our hands remember what the earth once knew. Clay teaches me to slow down, to listen, and to create with intention. Each piece is shaped in a steady rhythm, by hand, in my studio surrounded by nature.
éther, for me, is space and stillness. It is the gentle connection between the material and the unseen, between intuition and form. It reminds me that creation is an act of care, and that beauty lives in simplicity and attention.
Here, I share my ceramics, and I also teach online, offering courses for those who want to work with clay in a way that honors awareness, craftsmanship, and the joy of making with their own hands. My approach is simple, honest, and rooted in curiosity. I believe that the most beautiful things are born from presence and care.
